We recommend you to start from\u00a0Wat Xiengthong<\/strong>, which is one of the most important of Lao monasteries and remains a significant monument to the spirit of religion, royalty and traditional art.<\/p>\n

There are over 20 structures on the grounds including a sim, shrines, pavilions and residences, in addition to its gardens of flowers, ornamental shrubs, and trees.<\/p>\n

From there, we can make a short visit to the old temple of\u00a0Wat Sene Souk Haram<\/strong>, literally \u201cTemple of a 100 000 treasures\u201d, which is the first monastery in town whose vihan was covered with yellow and red tiles in the modern Thai fashion.<\/p>\n

Wat Xiengthong, Luang Prabang<\/em><\/p>\n

ontinue further down the street, you cannot ignore\u00a0Luang Prabang National Museum<\/strong>, the form Royal Palace, whose architecture has a mixed of traditional Lao motifs and French Beaux Arts styles.<\/p>\n

The nearby\u00a0Wat Mai<\/strong>, built in the 18th century, is the largest and most richly decorated of the temples in Luang Prabang.<\/p>\n

In the afternoon, continue the visit with some more unique temple of\u00a0Wat Visoun<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Wat Aham<\/strong>\u00a0before taking the visit to the\u00a0Traditional Arts and Ethnology Center (TAEC)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Established in 2007, TAEC has inspired visitors by exploring, celebrating, and preserving the diverse ethnic cultures and peoples of Laos through professionally curated permanent and special exhibitions, events, and craft workshops.<\/p>\n

You can either ascend mount\u00a0Phousi<\/strong>\u00a0to watch the sunset with the panoramic view over the city, or spend a peaceful moment at the riverside temple of\u00a0Wat Prabaht<\/strong>. Both gives you the unforgettable finish of the day<\/p>\n
