Trip overview
This trip concentrates on Central Vietnam's diverse and fascinating cultural heritage. Start from Quang Binh to visit Phong Nha Cave which was listed as a World Natural Heritage Site in July of 2003 by The Unesco. Transfer to Hue, the former Imperial City. After that, you ascend the stunning Hai Van Pass and down to visit the ancient Cham ruins My Son and ancient town Hoi An.

Tour itinerary
In the morning, there will be a transfer from Hue Airport to Dong Hoi stopping en route at Hien Luong Bridge and Vinh Moc tunnel which is an underground miniaturized village and the largest historical tunnel in the DMZ of Vietnam. You arrive in Dong Hoi in the afternoon where there is time to relax on the beach.
Overnight in Dong Hoi.Morning excursion to the World Heritage recognized Phong Nha Caves by boat. Drive back to Hue along Route 14 which formed part of the Ho Chi Minh Trail. Along the way we see Truong Son Military Cemetery, dedicated to Vietnamese soldiers who perished in the war. You arrive in Hue late afternoon and in the evening dine at Tha Om Garden House.
Overnight in Hue.In the morning, take a boat cruise on the Perfume River then visit the Thien Mu Pagoda. Drive to the Imperial Citadel modeled on the same lines as Beijing's Forbidden Palace. The Citadel contains a series of palaces, ornate halls, libraries, residences and colleges. After lunch You visit the elaborate tombs of Emperor Tu Duc and Khai Dinh.
Overnight in Hue.In the morning, visit Emperor Minh Mang’s tomb before driving to Da Nang. Once arrive Danang, stop to visit the Cham Museum. After lunch in Da Nang you proceed to the remarkable ruins of My Son in a remote jungle valley. My Son was formerly the religious center of the Cham Kingdom and is another UNESCO World Heritage site with more than 20 well-preserved monuments. Late afternoon we arrive in Hoi An.
Overnight in Hoi An.Visit a traditional Chinese Assembly House, ancient merchants’ houses, the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge followed by a visit to a lantern workshop. Learn how lanterns are made and try to create your own. After lunch cruise to Thanh Ha pottery village and visit a traditional ceramic workshop. Visitors have a chance to make their own creations. Drive to Tra Que village to discover the traditional gardening methods, join the farmers in the fields. Dinner at an ancient house in town, enjoy local cuisine and talk to the host of the family.
Overnight in Hoi An.Free at leisure until transfer to airport.
