Tour itinerary

Day 1: Yangon Arrival & Sightseeing (N/A)

Arrive at Yangon International Airport and welcome by Minn Kyan Sitt Travels representative and our tour guide. Check in to hotel. Yangon sightseeing includes; .Chaukhtatgyi (Reclining Buddha) Pagoda a colossal reclining Buddha, Kandawgyi Lake which is closed to the city center and is a good place for a walk. This lake is most attractive at sunset when the glittering Shwedagon is reflected in its calm water. And visit colonial style buildings surrounding Mahabandula Park. Then drive to stroll through a narrow street of ChinaTown including the short visit to Tao Temple. Then, shortly before sunset, the 107 meters high golden stupa of Shwedagon Pagoda will glitter in the soft light of the early evening. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.
Day 2: Yangon – Bago – Kyaikhtiyo (B)

After breakfast at hotel, proceed to Kyaikhtiyo and on the way visit to Bago and visit Kyakhatwine Monastery, one may observe one may observe over 600 student monks having lunch under the way of Buddha's guidance.

Continue to Kyaikthiyo, one of Myanmar’s landmark, which is famous for its position and religious importance: Kyaikhtiyo the “Golden Rock “, huge boulder completely covered by gold leaf and delicately balanced on the edge of a cliff. To reach the pagoda from Kin Pun a steep 11km road leads to the upper staging point by truck. Take a light trekking on the summit through bamboo forest. Enjoy the sunset beauty on the hill top. Overnight at hotel in Kyaikhtiyo (Golden Rock).

Day 3: Kyaikhtiyo (Golden Rock) – Bago – Bagan (B)

After breakfast at hotel, take a half hour walk to small cave. Also stop at the roadside shops for rare product of jungle, Midmorning, drive down to the base camp and return to Yangon. On the way visit most important sights of this old capital of the Mon People. Visit in Bago sightseeing drive back visit Shwethalyaung Pagoda (55 meters long and 16 meters high reclining Buddha). Continue to Shwemawdaw Pagoda which looks like Shwedagon in Yangon at glance and is the highest Pagoda in Myanmar. Hinthagon Pagoda, private-funded spirit worship ceremonies often take place and could enjoy panoramic view. Then proceed to KanbawzaThardi Palace – the famous palace of King Bayinnaung (1551 – 1581 A.D) is being extensively excavated and some buildings are being rebuilt. After sightseeing, return to Yangon. On the way back, you can visit Allied War Cemetery near Htaukkyan, maintained by the common wealth War Craves Commission. In the evening transfer to Hi-way Bus Stop for Bagan trip by Express Night Bus. Overnight in Bus.

Day 4: Bagan Arrival And Sightseeing (N/A)

Early morning arrive at Bagan and check in to hotel. From the 11th to 13th centuries, when Bagan was the capital of Myanmar, the rulers constructed thousands of huge stupas and temples many of which are still standing today on the banks of the Ayeyarwaddy River. Your journey begins with a visit an elevated temple from where you will have a panoramic view of the magnificent plains of Bagan. Continue visit Shwezigon Pagoda and its magnificent golden stupa, Htilominlo Temple noted for its fine plaster carvings and glazed sand stone decoration, Wet Gyi Inn Gubyaukgyi Temple, with superb mural paintings of jataka scenes. In the afternoon begin with a visit to a traditional lacquer ware where you can observe the production of one of Myanmar's best-known handicrafts. Continue to Ananda Temple and architectural masterpiece of the early- style temple with four impressive standing Buddha images. Thabinnyu Temple, the highest temple in Bagan, Dhammayangyi Temple noted for its remarkable brickwork. Enjoy sunset over the site from the upper terrace of Shwesandaw Pagoda. Day 5: Bagan Full Day Sightseeing (B)

After breakfast at hotel, visit the colorful NyaungOo Market where villagers from local hill tribes gathering every day to buy and sell their produce and other handmade goods. Continue to Myinkaba village and take a short walking tour to explore the examples of Manuha Temple and Nan Paya. Explore more temples in the area, visit more craft shops. On your next stop, you'll learn about the production of Bagan's most famous food, Pone Yay Gyi and also PeChaung (bean snack) at a local shop. This thick salty black paste is made from soy beans and is used commonly in Burmese cooking, especially with pork and as a salad. You'll get to see the secrets of how it's made at the shop, all the way from the raw soy beans through to the finished product. Drive on to a nearby village next where locals make a range of products using the juice of palm trees, including sweet molasses and wine. During your visit you're sure to see the expert farmers as they climb the trees effortlessly to collect the juice. In the afternoon you'll move to one of Bagan's lesser-known area, Minnanthu to the east of Bagan. An agricultural village, Minnanthu specializes in sesame and peanut oil production. You'll have time to look around the peaceful area, taking in the temples of Nandamannya, Lemyentha and Payathonzu. Overnight at hotel in Bagan.

Day 6: Bagan – Mt.Popa – Kalaw (B)

After breakfast, drive to Kalaw ( 300 km). En route, you will visit Mount Popa, an extinct volcano dedicated to animist spirits known as " nats ". And if you wish, you will have time to climb 777 steps to the top where the shrine is. After lunch at the local restaurant en route, continue to Kalaw, a hill station on the Shan Plateau. Overnight at hotel in Kalaw.

Day 7: Kalaw – Pindaya – Inle Lake (B)

After breakfast at hotel, visit Kalaw sightseeing; and proceed to Pindaya sightseeing, 48 km north of Kalaw, to visit Pindaya Lake and Pindaya cave, well-known for its countless Buddha images. Enjoy also the great scenic beauty of the countryside along the road to Pindaya through picturesque landscapes. Visit bamboo- umbrella domestic workshop as well. In the evening proceed to Inle Lake / NyaungShwe . Overnight at hotel in Inle Lake / NyaungShwe.

Day 8: Inle Lake Full Day Sightseeing (B)

After breakfast at hotel, visit Inle Lake you'll venture out to explore Inle Lake with your private motorboat, passing floating garden houses built on stilts inhabited by the local Intha People, and the famous "Leg-Rowing" fishermen who make their living from the lake's plentiful supply of fish. Along the way you can visit a floating tomato garden – a unique site. Visit PhaungDawOo Pagoda, the lake's main sanctuary, which contains five sacred Buddha Images covered in gold leaf. Explore the local crafts of Inle Lake with a stop at the weaving village of Inpawkhone and a cheroot factory, where the typical Burmese cigars are made by hand. Continue to the famous NgaHpeChaung Monastery, so called "jumping cat's monastery" famed for its collection of ancient Buddha effigies collected from the lake and surrounding regions. Photograph the long neck family on the way back (Padaung Women). Overnight at hotel in NyaungShwe or Inle Lake.

Day 9: Inle Lake – Indein (N/A)

After breakfast at hotel, your excursion will start at a morning market (the earlier your departure time, the better) that changes its location around the lake on a five-day basis. Here the communities which inhabit the lake region, including local hill tribes such as the Pa-Oh, Intha and Shan people, all come to trade their handmade wares and farmed goods with each other. (Note: Market is daily open except on dark moon day and full moon day). board your boat to the western shore of the Lake where you will find the beginning of a stair path leading to the hidden and unknown Indein Pagoda complex. Visit one of the most amazing historical sights on the shore of the lake consisting of hundreds of small stupas overgrown by moss and greens. Continue on foot to a village nearby where several crops are grown in traditional ways. Walk in an easy pace along one of the many creeks passing through rice fields to the village of Sea Ma. Visit the primary school of the village where you will have the possibility to meet the children and teachers to observe their way of learning and teaching. Walk across to the weaving village of Tha Lay where you meet the people in the villages on the lake and travel to one of the monasteries to observe the monastic activities. Overnight at hotel in Nyaung Shwe (or)Inle Lake.

Day 10: Inle Lake / NyaungShwe – Heho – Ngapali Beach (N/A)

After breakfast at hotel, transfer to airport for fly to Thandwe. Transfer to Ngapali Beach. Of the beach resorts most accessible to Myanmar visitors, Ngapali is easily the prettiest. Beach stretches over 3 km and is separated from several other beaches by small, easily negotiated rocky headlands. There’s more to do around Ngapali than just sit on the white sand and splash around in the sea, through for many people that are reason enough to go. Overnight in Ngapali Beach.

After breakfast at hotel, shopping at Bogyoke (or) Scott Market a famous shopping center to enjoy display of Myanmar handicraft (Note: Market is closed on Mondays and Public Holidays). And proceed to visit Kaba Aye (World peace) Pagoda, it was also known as the “World Peace Pagoda" and Mahapasana Cave, where the sixth Buddhist synod took place. On the way visit to Kyauktawgyi Pagoda also known as Lawka Chanthar Arbayar Labamuni Buddha Image at MinnDhamma Hill, there is an Elephant house where the three white elephants are kept. And then transfer to Yangon International Airport for Departure.
